H. Jon Benjamin might have the best comedic voice, delivery, timing of all time. Here is a sneak preview of his new show, Archer, that will premiere in January '10 on FX. It features Chris Parnel (SNL) and the animators from Adult Swim's Frisky Dingo and Sealab 2021.

FX describes the show: "Archer" is an animated half-hour comedy set at ISIS, an international spy agency, where global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other. The series features the voices of H. Jon Benjamin as suave master spy Sterling Archer, whose less-than-masculine code name is Duchess; Jessica Walter as his domineering mother and boss, Malory; Aisha Tyler as his ex-girlfriend, Agent Lana Kane; Chris Parnell as ISIS comptroller and Lana's new love interest, Cyril Figgis; and Judy Greer as Malory's lovesick secretary, Cheryl.

Boston Comedy Festival: Movie Night

Last night I attended Imagine Movie Night for the Boston Comedy Festival. My good friend, and fellow Super Deluxe refugee, Dan Pasternack was showing the world premiere of his new short film, "The Babe and the Kid." A hilarious spoof of Babe Ruth, played by Jonathan Winters, visiting a hospitalized boy. The film is not currently available online at the moment, but here are some of the other entries that I enjoyed.

Dreaming of SXSW

There is no other place that I would rather be right now than Austin, Texas. The South by Southwest music festival starts soon and I thought that I was going to be there. Last year I was there representing Super Deluxe to make videos, blog, and help with our sponsored events. It was a blast. This year I'm in Boston representing... well... nobody. As punishment I shall drink a six pack of Lone Star alone in the dark, naked and crying.

I have always been a fan of Robert Crumb and his work. Today I finally had my chance to see it in person. You can really see his LSD-laced disgust with 60's and 70's American culture. Hippy culture, racism, sex, and drugs from the mind of a brilliant, perverted man.

There is an incredible website called xtranormal that lets you write (through text), direct, and publish your own animated shows. It even lets you upload directly to your youtube account!

I had to try it out immediately. So here is my first attempt at making a cartoon. Enjoy.
